already started on your behalf with the firm, and must therefore ask you in future to deal direct with them. As to the outstanding items I have written them asking for settlement, but without getting a reply. I still hold the Godown Warrant for the 6 cases Figd. Italians ex."Kitano Maru", and have written the, again to-day reminding the, that they had agreed to clear the goods within a month after arrival, and if I still get no reply I will advise them that I shall sell the goods for your account.

I trust you will understand that I feel very sorry that my efforts to please these people should result in this, but as you know yourselves they have always been very troublesome and difficult to get on with, and I think I have gone the limit in treating this matter so lightly- which

I should not have done had it not been for the connection

with them on your behalf.

As matters stand at present I quite see that my

services may not be what you require from me, and while I

shall do my utmost to get fresh connections for you, which

under the present market conditions is no easy task, I leave

the matter for you to decide whether under the circumstances

you consider my services of any use to you.

Requesting you to keep this matter private and

treat it confidentially, I remain, Dear Sirs,

SIGNED

Yours faithfully,

Wallace J. Hansen.
